HEARING DATE:  September 24, 2009

MISCONDUCT:  Ont. Reg. 991, ss. 14(1) and 15(13)

PARTICULARS OF THE COMPLAINT:

In November 2008 a Conservation Officer with the Ministry of Natural Resources, lodged a complaint with RIBO alleging that Mr. John Martin had backdated insurance documents for a member of the public to confirm that insurance had been placed on a snowmobile.

The Conservation Officer advised RIBO that Mr. Martin was charged with a provincial offence and that on September 4, 2008, Mr. John Martin pled guilty to “knowingly make a false statement of fact by providing false information to a Conservation Officer in request to placing insurance on a 1989 Polaris Indy snowmobile”, for the purposes of providing evidence of insurance.

DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE’S DISPOSITION:
