PARTICULARS OF THE COMPLAINT:
John Lyras altered the Ontario driving record, the letter of experience from an insurance company and the auto plus for a client before sending the documents together, with an application for automobile insurance, to a new insurance company.
DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE’S DISPOSITION:
Mr. Lyras entered a plea of guilty and the Discipline Committee accepted the evidence adduced by RIBO in support of the plea of guilty. Accordingly, John Lyras was found guilty and the Discipline Committee orders:
(a) That the Certificate of Registration of John Lyras be and is hereby suspended for six (6) months effective immediately.
(b) That a recommendation be made to the Qualification and Registration Committee that in order for the suspension to be lifted, John Lyras must attend and complete the IBAO Basic Broker Course and successfully pass the examination.
