PARTICULARS OF THE COMPLAINT:
As a result of an allegation made by a client of Mr. Colin Lloyd Mohan, he may have failed to provide the quality of service as a result of failure to provide his client with automobile insurance coverage that she required on her automobile.
Mr. Mohan may have also involved himself in the adjustment of a loss to the vehicle belonging to his client and disclosed confidential information about his client to an unknown third party.
DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE’S DISPOSITION:
The Discipline Committee accepted the submission of Counsel for RIBO that attempted service of the Notice of Hearing was conducted at the last known address of Colin Lloyd Mohan.
The Discipline Committee also accepted the evidence adduced by RIBO, and witnesses, including the complainant, and finds that Colin Lloyd Mohan is guilty of misconduct as set out in paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of the Direction.
The Discipline Committee ordered:
(a) That the Certificate of Registration of Colin Lloyd Mohan be and is hereby revoked effective immediately.
(b) That a recommendation be made to the Qualification and Registration Committee that they not consider any application by Colin Lloyd Mohan to reapply for a Certificate of Registration for 5 years from the date of this Decision.
