PARTICULARS OF THE COMPLAINT:
It was alleged that Coralea Margaret Harrison failed to submit an application for motorcycle insurance to the insurance company for processing for her client, and she also accepted cash from the client in the amount of $1,467.00 but did not forward it to the brokerage trust account.
DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE’S DISPOSITION:
The Discipline Committee accepted the submission of RIBO’s Counsel that Coralea Margaret Harrison was personally served with the Notice of Hearing, and that she indicated that she chose not to attend the hearing.
The Discipline Committee accepted the evidence adduced by RIBO, including an Admission to the Discipline Committee and Agreed Statement of Facts signed by Ms. Harrison, and which was entered into evidence in the proceedings, and finds that Ms. Harrison is guilty of misconduct as set out in paragraph 2 of the Direction. The Discipline Committee therefore ordered:
a) That the Certificate of Registration of Coralea Margaret Harrison be revoked effective immediately.
b) That a recommendation be made to the Qualification and Registration Committee that they not approve any application by Coralea Margaret Harrison to reapply for a Certificate of Registration for a period of not less than 5 years from the date of this Decision.
