PARTICULARS OF THE COMPLAINT:
It was alleged that Barbara Jean Matusinec accepted cash premium payments from clients and did not submit these payments to her brokerage for deposit to the trust account in a timely fashion in accordance with the RIBO Regulations. In some instances cash premium payments were replaced by Barbara Jean Matusinec in the form of a personal cheque.
DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE’S DISPOSITION:
The Discipline Committee approved a consent agreement between Barbara Jean Matusinec and RIBO, and ordered:
a) That the Certificate of Registration of Barbara Jean Matusinec be suspended effective immediately.
b) That the above-referenced suspension be and is hereby suspended pending that Barbara Jean Matusinec demonstrate that she has taken and passed the RIB Act, Regulations and By-Laws Equivalency Exam by May 1, 2012, failing which, the suspension referred to in paragraph (a) above will become effective.
