PARTICULARS OF THE COMPLAINT:
Edward Lee Dam may have failed to discharge his duties to fellow member’s and insurers with integrity, with respect to the issuance of automobile liability certificates to a member of the public as evidence of insurance without placing said automobile insurance. He also failed to serve the member’s client in a conscientious, diligent and efficient manner and may have failed to provide a quality of service at least equal to that which members would generally expect of a member in his handling of a specific request for automobile coverage.
Further, that Edward Lee Dam purportedly accepted a cash premium payment from a client and did not submit the premium payments to the brokerage for deposit to the trust account and at a later date submitted only partial payment to the brokerage.
DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE’S DISPOSITION:
The Discipline Committee approved a consent agreement between Edward Lee Dam and RIBO, and ordered:
(a) That the Certificate of Registration of Edward Lee Dam be revoked effective immediately.
