Gloria Tombari Registration Number: R22809 Markstay, Ontario
HEARING DATE: November 6, 2023 MISCONDUCT: Ontario Regulation 991, ss. 14.5 and 14.6 PARTICULARS OF THE COMPLAINTS: At all material times Gloria Tombari was a registered insurance broker conducting business in the Town of Markstay, Ontario area.
As a result of information received by RIBO from Gloria Tombari’s former employer, it appears that GloriaTombari committed misconduct:
• by emailing confidential client information that was entrusted and belonged to Gloria Tombari’s former employer to her own personal email account.
DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE’S DISPOSITION:
The Discipline Committee accepted the plea of guilty by Gloria Tombari and accepted the evidence adduced by RIBO in support of the plea of guilty, including an Agreed Statement of Fact and Joint Submission as to penalty, signed on November 10, 2022 by Gloria Tombari and found that Gloria Tombari is guilty of misconduct as set out above. The Discipline Committee ordered:
(a) that Gloria Tombari is hereby formally reprimanded by the Discipline Committee.
REASONS: In the matter of Gloria Tombari, the Panel heard submissions from RIBO and considered the agreed statement of facts supporting the guilty plea.
We also heard the joint submissions of penalty and agreed to the order that Gloria Tombari be formally reprimanded.
