PARTICULARS OF THE COMPLAINT:
At all material times Ms. Abigail Ann Findlay was a registered insurance broker in the Toronto, Ontario area.
As a result of information received by RIBO, it appears that Ms. Abigail Ann Findlay may have committed misconduct by failing to insure the property of two of her clients.
DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE’S DISPOSITION:
The Discipline Committee accepted the plea of guilty by Abigail Ann Findlay and accepted the evidence adduced by RIBO in support of the plea of guilty, including an Agreed Statement of Fact and Joint Submission as to penalty, signed on November 10, 2017 by Abigail Ann Findlay and finds that Abigail Ann Findlay is guilty of misconduct as set out above. The Discipline Committee ordered:
(a) That the Certificate of Registration of Abigail Ann Findlay is hereby revoked effective as of February 1, 2018.
(b) That a recommendation be made to the Qualification and Registration Committee that Abigail Ann Findlay not be allowed to apply for a Certificate of Registration for a period of not less than five (5) years from the date of this Order, and only if she take and successfully complete the licensing course and examination and only with the approval of the Qualification and Registration Committee.
