PARTICULARS OF THE COMPLAINT:
That Warren Hill Risk Management and Insurance Broker Services Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Warren Hill Insurance”) has been delinquent in its duty to file on or before the respective due dates, position report in Form 1 or Financial Statement for the period ending October 10, 2013 and broker reported January 10, 2014.
DISCIPLINE COMMITTEE’S DISPOSITION:
The Discipline Committee notes that a letter from Jacqueline M. Wedley giving Counsel for RIBO authority to act as her agent to enter the plea of guilty and to speak on behalf of herself and Warren Hill Insurance at this hearing was presented to and accepted by the Committee.
The Discipline Committee finds that there is sufficient evidence in support of the plea of guilty and finds that Jacqueline M. Wedley and Warren Hill Insurance are guilty of misconduct as alleged in the Direction. The Discipline Committee therefore ordered:
(a) That the brokerage be reprimanded for its actions.
(b) That the brokerage pay a fine in the amount of $1,000.00 by cheque made payable to the Minister of Finance.
