REGARDING the Insurance Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. I.8, as amended, (the “Act”) in particular sections 392.5 and 407.1;
AND REGARDING Timothy J. Dunlop.
ORDER TO REVOKE LICENCE
On September 26, 2018, the Superintendent of Financial Services (the “Superintendent”) and Timothy J. Dunlop (“Mr. Dunlop”) entered into Minutes of Settlement in which Mr. Dunlop consented to the revocation of his life insurance and accident & sickness insurance agent licence (licence #93002876) pursuant to section 392.5 of the Act.
The Minutes of Settlement state that Mr. Dunlop has waived his right to receive Notice of his life insurance and accident & sickness insurance agent licence revocation. The Minutes of Settlement further state that Mr. Dunlop has waived his right to a hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal in respect of the revocation of his licence.
Subsection 407.1(7) of the Act provides that the Superintendent may carry out the proposal when no hearing has been requested.
ORDER
The insurance agent licence of Timothy J. Dunlop (licence #93002876) is hereby revoked.
