AND REGARDING Shahrokh Jahanbin
ORDER TO SUSPEND LICENCE
Shahrokh Jahanbin holds a life insurance and accident and sickness insurance agent licence (licence #03078666) under the terms of the Insurance Act (the “Act”).
On March 28, 2016, the Superintendent of Financial Services (“Superintendent”) issued a Notice of Proposal to Revoke Licence and a Notice of Proposal to Impose an Administrative Penalty on Mr. Jahanbin. The grounds for the Superintendent’s proposal to revoke are that the Applicant engaged in conduct that demonstrates incompetence or untrustworthiness to transact insurance business.
On April 25, 2016, Mr. Jahanbin filed a request for hearing with the Financial Services Tribunal.
The Superintendent and Mr. Jahanbin have entered into Minutes of Settlement to resolve the matter without a hearing.
ORDER
The life insurance and accident and sickness insurance agent licence of Shahrokh Jahanbin (licence #03078666) is suspended for fourteen (14) months effective as of the date this order is signed.
