REGARDING the Insurance Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. I.8, as amended, in particular sections 392.5 and 407.1.
AND REGARDING Yan Feng Li
ORDER TO SUSPEND LICENCE
Yan Feng Li holds a life insurance and accident and sickness insurance agent licence (licence #02073768) under the terms of the Insurance Act (the “Act”).
On September 6, 2016, Mr. Li submitted a licence renewal application to the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (“FSCO”). On this application, Mr. Li failed to notify FSCO that he had been the subject of an investigation by a regulatory authority in Ontario.
The Superintendent of Financial Services (“Superintendent”) and Mr. Li have agreed on consent to Mr. Li’s licence being issued with conditions and subject to a one (1) month suspension.
ORDER
The life insurance and accident and sickness insurance agent licence of Yan Feng Li (licence #02073768) is suspended for one (1) month effective as of the below date.
