AND REGARDING Hugh Ashley Myers
ORDER TO REFUSE LICENCE RENEWAL APPLICATION
On September 18, 2015, Hugh Ashley Myers submitted an application to renew his life insurance and accident and sickness insurance agent licence (#11122634) under the Act.
On February 24, 2016, the Superintendent of Financial Services (“Superintendent”) issued a Notice of Proposal (“Notice”) to refuse this application. Mr. Myers requested a hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal (“FST”) on March 10, 2016.
A hearing was held on August 17, 2016, before a three member panel of the FST. Mr. Myers did not attend this hearing and the hearing was conducted in his absence.
On November 7, 2016, the FST ordered that the Superintendent carry out the notice.
ORDER
The application by Hugh Ashley Myers to renew his life insurance and accident and sickness insurance agent licence is hereby refused.
