On March 6, 2015 the Superintendent of Financial Services (“Superintendent”) issued a Notice of Proposal to impose a general administrative penalty of $2,500 on Navdeep Thind (“Ms. Thind”) for furnishing false, misleading or incomplete information to the Superintendent in her licence renewal application.
Ms. Thind requested a hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal in accordance with the Act, and a hearing was held on September 24, 2015. In a decision dated November 10, 2015, the Tribunal directed the Superintendent to impose an administrative penalty of $1,500 on Ms. Thind.
ORDER
An administrative penalty in the amount of $1,500 is imposed on Navdeep Thind pursuant to section 39 of the Act.
TAKE NOTICE THAT Ms. Thind will receive an invoice from Ontario Shared Services, a part of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, with information as to where and how to make the payment. Ms. Thind must pay the administrative penalty no later than 30 days after the date of the invoice.
