AND REGARDING Marni Blumfald
ORDER
On January 15, 2015, Marni Blumfald applied to be licensed under the Insurance Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. I.8 (“Act”) as a service provider.
On July 28, 2015, the Superintendent of Financial Services (“Superintendent”) issued a Notice of Proposal to Refuse Application. The Notice of Proposal, along with reasons, was served on Ms. Blumfald by registered mail effective August 7, 2015.
Ms. Blumfald had 15 days after service of the Notice to request a hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal (“Tribunal”) in accordance with section 288.7(3) of the Act.
The Registrar of the Tribunal has confirmed that no request for a hearing has been received from Ms. Blumfald or anyone on her behalf.
Section 288.7(7) of the Act provides that the Superintendent may carry out the proposal to refuse to issue a licence when no hearing has been requested.
ORDER
The application for a service provider licence submitted by Marni Blumfald on January 15, 2015 is refused.
