REGARDING the Insurance Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. I.8, as amended, in particular sections 392.5 and 407.1

 

AND REGARDING Punch Bun Chiu Lui

 

 

REVOCATION ORDER

 

 

On June 9, 2015, the Superintendent of Financial Services (“Superintendent”) issued a Notice of Proposal (“NOP”) to revoke the insurance agent licence of Punch Bun Chiu Lui (#98054225).

 

The NOP was sent by registered and regular mail to Mr. Lui’s mailing address as it appears in the records of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. The registered mail was unclaimed, but the notice sent by regular mail was not returned.  

 

Mr. Lui had 15 days after the Notice was given to request a hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal (“Tribunal”) in accordance with section 407.1(3) of the Insurance Act (“Act”).

 

The Registrar of the Tribunal confirmed that, as of July 13, 2015, no request for a hearing has been received from Punch Bun Chiu Lui or anyone on his behalf in respect of the proposal.

 

Subsection 401.1(7) of the Act provides that the Superintendent may carry out the proposal to revoke a licence when no hearing has been requested.

 

 

ORDER

 

 

The insurance agent licence (# 98054225) of Punch Bun Chiu Lui is revoked.
