Council determined that this Operating Agent was unsuitable to act in that capacity and restricted from holding such a licence. The agent was fined $5,000.00 and assessed partial investigation costs in the amount of $5,000.00 for multiple violations of The Insurance Act of Manitoba, its Licensing Rules and General Insurance Agent Code of Conduct. Any future Operating Agent of the Agency must be approved by Council in advance of assuming that role.
