Agent fined $1,500.00 and assessed partial investigation costs of $1,000.00 in violation of The Insurance Act of Manitoba Section 375 (1)(f), by failing to obtain continuing education credits as a requirement for licensing, and the General Insurance Agent Code of Conduct Sections 3 - Quality of Service and Section 4 - Advising Clients in the manner of replacing coverage mid-term. This matter was appealed to The Insurance Agents' and Adjusters' Licensing Appeal Board which upheld the decision of the Insurance Council and assessed additional costs of $500.00.
